I love the one tracking shot through the whole movie. It made me think that i was watching a play and thats what i loved about this movie, it made me think. This film is not considered one of Hitchcocks best but i think it should be right up there with "The Birds, and "Psycho".

I guess this is my favorite because it involves a murder mystery, but what makes this one so different from every other one is that it could be realized in a second. The answer to the whole riddle is right in front of us and the characters, and i think that in life alot of the times the ansewer is right in front of us but we just cant figure it out or we are unwilling to do so.

I give this film a 4 out of 4. This is the best film that i have seen in awhile.

The Testament of Dr. Mabuse

The Second film by Fritz Lang that we have seen in this class is a mysterious one. It involves the inspector investigating a case that all the evidence leads to a man who has been in an institution and who died in there. The twists and turns in the movie make it an enjoyable view, and an exciting one. The angles and the lighting makes the movie for me. The mysterious feeling the viewer (me) gets is credited to the director for the angles and lighting he uses. Fritz Lang seems to be a good director. In the two movies that I have seen he has used film making and made it an art and that is what I respect most about him. Fritz Lang is a Director, but most importantly he is an artist...and that is evident in this film.

On my "Wiggle Rating" i will give this film a 3 out of 4.

Nosferatu

A silent film based on the story "Dracula", the movie scares yet enriches the minds of the viewer. It adds to our imagination and keeps us thinking about the imaginable. When i see films about things that i do not understand i kind of become distant from them. I feel as if i shouldnt be watching it. Yet after i saw this piece of cinema, i began to change my approach. I am now very interested in seeing and doing things that are difficult to understand. I no longer am ignorant to just pass on a film because its to hard to understand. Many films this year have opened my eyes and have dared me to imagine, dared me to think and dared me to realize that there is more than comedy in this world.

As for my "Wiggle Rating" I must give this film a 2 out of 4.

Shadow of the Vampire

An interesting film about vampires is what i came out with at the end of this movie. This movie is pretty graphic but it also has a story to go with it. The film is based of the silent film Nosferatu. Which is an old silent dracula film that was one of the first good horror films ever made. I have seen both films and i like the newer one, because of the main actor John Malkovich. He is a great actor and everytime i see him in a movie he immediately makes the film better. Malkovich plays the director who is making a film about Dracula.

As for my "Wiggle Rating" I must give this film 3 out of 4. Im not that ignorant to say that i disliked a movie when i cat even begin to give u an explanation for the movie. You could classify this movie as a horror film, but i dont want to belittle this film by saying that it is just a horror film. We all fear losing the ones we love, but we know that its going to happen one way or another. I had trouble understanding the film but i think for the next silent film it will be easier for me to comprehend. It was neat to see a different approach to cinema. These type of movies are so different than regular ones. They count on the viewer being able to see the acting and hear the music and to be able to bring those two things together to understand the meaning of the story. The way people expresss themselves through film is amazing and is truly an art. I can appreciate a film that is beautiful and has a meaning over something that is just artifical.

For My Wiggle Review I will give this film 2 out of 4. It was really neat to see all the different type of things that Cameras can do. The dissolves, zooms, cuts, and the different lighting techniques all were shown in this movie. I really enjoyed seeing this movie because it was the first one that i have seen in class that really showed all of the different types of things that movies can do. The one thing i love about this movie is the use of the color red. I love it when the color red is used because the color means so much. It can mean blood , evilness, youth, life , and death. The color red has been used in so many movies to portray death (The 6th Sense). I guess you can say that im a little weird about the color red, but i just think that it is cool to see in movies.

For my Wiggle Rating i will give this movie a 2.75 out of 4. During the movie they share a few funny moments that make the movie enjoyable

Yes the movie is kind of stupid... but sometimes watching stupid humor can brighten up your night. I watched the movie just a couple hours ago because i missed it when my class watched it. I couldnt stop laughing because its so stupid, but i would watch it again because it made me laugh. Laughing to me is one of the best things in the world because it takes your mind off of the daily pressures of life. I cant even remember how many times a funny movie has made my day better, and this movie has certainly done that.

As for my Wiggle Review i will give this movie a 2.5 out of 4

Night Of The Living Dead

Zombies are killing humans and eating them as well. I find it odd that the last two movies that i have seen in this class have involved people being eaten... The Zombies would kill there victims and then feast on them to gain power.

I found out that this movie was one of the first to have a black man be the "hero" of the film. I also find it ironic that he ends up dying in the end even after killing off all of the Zombies. The main character fights through the whole movie just to be killed at the end by a police officer. The officer thought that he was seeing a zombie so he shot him in the head, right between the eyes. It goes to show you that in life you can work so hard yet end up with nothing... thats life for you.

For my Wiggle Rating i give this film 2 out of 4. The killer in this movie not only kills people but he also tortures them and then eats them. It is really disgusting to think that this could happen. My teacher asked me to see if i could feel sympathy for the killer and i have to say no. The way he kills people is probably the worst way, then again there is no good way to kill a person. The Killer hunts his victims down and then tortures them ,and then feeds them to his grandfather. After reading what i just wrote i think you can agree that it is very hard to show sympathy for such a "person"...

As for my Wiggle Rating i must give this film a 2 out of 4. It was an average movie that has a good story. He is a photographer who works for a magazine. He travels around the world and lives the life of a nomad, but when he breaks his leg he has to stay at his apartment which is located in a loud and busy City. As he begins to heal his leg he starts to look into the windows of his neighbors, and when he does that he sees a life that is very different than his own. He sees a lonely woman who is starving for the right man. He also sees a salesman who is acting really suspicious, but most importantly he finds out that his life is so much more different than his neighbors. The Lives of the neighbors seem to be broing, dull and hectic, and his life seems to be exciting and fresh and unpredictable. By the time the movie is over he has to be wanting to get out of his apartment. I know i would want to be out of there.

On my Wiggle Rating i will give it a 1/4. After the killing of his ex-wife Richard Blaney is suspected by the police of being the neck tie murderer. Throughout the movie he is on the run to try and prove his innocence.

Blaney seems like a man with many problems. He has no place to live, he has just gotten fired from his job , the man is coming off a divorce, and now he is being accused of being a murderer. Wow! what a lucky a guy huh? I tend to feel pity for this man because everything bad that could happen has happend to him. Blaney is forced to run and hide after his name gets thrown about as the neck tie murderer, but where can he run to? Where can anyone run to after being encountered with such a situation?

Blaney in this movie is always on the run, but i think everybody in this world is on the run. Obviously not everybody is running from a murder, but people have many problems that affect them tremendously. Some people cant handle the problems that they have. These are the people that are alone , depressed , sad , angry, and unable to deal wit difficult issues.

I enjoyed the movie because it wasnt the norm. It keeps you thinking, which is a lost art these days in movies. Zach Braff comes back home to his moms funeral. During this time he is lost, confused, and desperate to find himself. He finds Natalie Portman a simple, but pretty girl who changes him. He falls in love and finally begins to rebuild his relationship with his father, which was torn when Zach's mother was unable to walk. She died when Zach's character pushed his mother and she hit her neck causing her to not being able to walk ever again.

This movie taught me that even if you are alone you can still find that special thing or someone to turn your life around. Everybody has moments when there sad and lonely, but if you find the right person you can be happy. I like this movie, and every time i see it i like it even more because of the fact of love. I think Love is the greatest thing in the world. It can make any bad day good and any sad moment a happy one. Love is the hardest thing to have and in this movie it is achieved.

This movie is about a man named Billy who gets out of jail after 5 years and he finds himself alone and wanting to kill Scott Woods. Scott Woods is the former kicker of the Buffalo Bills who missed the would be game winning field goal in the Superbowl. Billy bet 10,000 on the game and he lossed, not only did he lose the money but he lossed 5 years of his life because he could not pay his betting agent. so instead of paying his betting agent he took the fall for one of the agents friends for a crime and now billy had to go to prison for 5 years. When Billy came out of prison he met a girl and it changed his life and really saved him from killing not only himself but Scott Woods. Billy is a sarcastic, alone, depressed , and anger person. All he really needs is to be cared about and at the end of the movie he has a girlfriend, which is really what he needed. In the end Billy does not kill anynone and he appears to have a good start with his girlfriend. I loved this movie because of the different angles, lightings, settings, and of course the plot. This movie mad me laugh alot but it also made me think which is always a good thing to do especially now a days.

I started to watch this film and i did not feel any compassion for Charles Foster Kane. He is a rich and powerful man who owned many newspapers but as the movie went along i began to feel sorry for him. To say Kane had a bad childhood would be an understatement. When he was young he was sent to live with a banker named Mr. Thatcher. Schooling and work took up all of Kanes Childhood and left him away from his parents at an early age. Kane would never recover from the horrible childhood that he had endured.

The movie shows me that having power and money does not make you the happiest person in the world. I would say that Kane wanted to be loved for having power and not for being himself. Some old man once told me that unless you love yourself, you can not love anyone else. This is the truest statement i have ever heard and it applys to this movie. Kane had two wifes and both divorced him and left him in a state of depression. Even with all of his power and fame he would still be alone and unhappy. When he died he had accomplished so much. He had owned several news papers, ran for public office and had made millions of dollars. All of this meant nothing to him because he was alone in a world where he did not love himself
